Meet Your Local Dog Groomer
Hi, I'm the groomer — the one-woman team behind Dog Grooming! Working one-to-one from my home-based salon, I've been grooming dogs for over 10 years and I absolutely love what I do.
Every dog that comes through my door is treated as if they were my own. I specialise in making nervous and anxious dogs feel safe and comfortable — many of my regular clients were once dogs that dreaded grooming. Now they can't wait to visit!
I also share my salon with my own dogs — and they're brilliant at settling nervous pups. A calm, friendly face nearby often shows an anxious dog there's nothing to worry about. And if your pooch would rather have the space to themselves, that's absolutely fine — my dogs happily pop out of the way so yours can relax in their own time. 🐾
Whether it's a quick nail trim or a full pamper session, I take my time and never rush. Your dog's comfort and wellbeing always come first. 💜

Common questions
Absolutely! I specialise in working with anxious and nervous dogs. I take my time, use a calm and gentle approach, and never rush. Many of my regular clients are dogs who were previously nervous about grooming — they now love coming to visit!
It depends on the breed and coat type, but generally every 4-8 weeks is recommended. Long-haired breeds may need grooming every 4-6 weeks, while shorter-haired dogs can go 6-8 weeks between grooms. I'm happy to advise on the best schedule for your dog.
Puppies can have their first grooming experience from around 12-16 weeks, once they've had their vaccinations. The earlier they start, the easier it is for them to get used to the process. Puppy first grooms are gentle introductions — no full clips!
A full groom includes a bath with premium shampoo and conditioner, blow-dry, full clip or trim to your preferred style, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and a spritz of cologne. Your dog will leave looking and smelling fabulous!
For your dog's safety and comfort, I ask that you leave your pooch with me during the groom rather than staying. It often surprises people, but most dogs are far calmer when their owner isn't in the room — with you nearby, many get anxious and wriggly trying to reach you, which makes working with sharp scissors and clippers around them much riskier. A quiet, calm space lets me give your dog my full focus and do my very best work, and it keeps everything in line with my salon insurance too. You're in safe hands — I'll take wonderful care of them and call you the moment your gorgeous pooch is ready for collection.
